The Salzburger Landestheater, a cornerstone of Salzburg's cultural scene, underwent a significant renovation in 2022 to address its acoustic challenges. The theatre’s historic charm and diverse programming—from opera to musical theater—demanded an advanced solution that would enhance its acoustics without compromising its architectural heritage. Amadeus Acoustics played a key role in this transformation, providing a state-of-the-art electroacoustic system designed to elevate the auditory experience for both performers and audiences.
Our team integrated 41 wall-mounted speakers and 27 strategically placed microphones to ensure optimal sound clarity throughout the venue. These invisible installations preserved the integrity of the theatre’s design while enabling custom acoustic presets for a variety of performances. The result is a dramatically improved sound environment that enhances musical clarity, and audience immersion, reaffirming the theatre's legacy while meeting the demands of contemporary performance.
