The AMADEUS implementation process

In close cooperation with your own design team, acousticians, sound engineers and musicians, Amadeus creates the right acoustic settings, perfectly adapted to your location.

5 Steps to Perfect SOUND with Amadeus

The successful installation of Amadeus takes place in several phases: Design, Installation, Technical Tuning, Artistic Tuning and Maintenance.

The measuring and musical finetuning* are key to a successful installation. Qualified and certified staff members are part of this process. AMADEUS guides and advises you throughout all steps. Depending on project complexity the duration of the phases can vary.

*please note that the tuning process for active acoustic projects and immersive audio projects is different.

The system influences the room acoustics without being noticeably perceived as such. It sounds very natural.

Amadeus Phases

DESIGN

  1. Specify the acoustic brief for the space with detailed descriptions of acoustical scenarios and presets.

  2. Support of the design team on how to integrate loudspeakers and microphones.

  3. Specification of loudspeakers, microphones and other system components.

INSTALLATION

4. Loudspeakers, microphones, cabling and technical racks are installed by a system integrator (this is not done by Amadeus Acoustics).

5. Amadeus supports the system integrator in any upcoming issue.

PHASE 3: TECHNICAL TUNING (CALIBRATION)

6. Basic calibration of all system components

7. Site-specific configuration of the Amadeus Core

→ Estimated time: around 2-3 days (depending on the project's complexity)

ARTISTIC TUNING (FINETUNING)

8. Finetuning and optimizing of presets through listening and acoustic measurements

9. Optimization of the prior measured technical preset

10. Test rehearsals with musicians and orchestra

→ Estimated time: around 1-2 days

MAINTENANCE AND ONGOING SUPPORT

After a couple of months or a year we do recommend a maintenance to do a health-check on the acoustics quality. If necessary, we can create adaptions of the originals presets to better suit the needs of the space. In addition, we offer a life-long support.

It is fascinating how much dynamic range the Andermatt Concert Hall provides. It offers a high degree of intimacy while it sounds like a bigger hall. As a musician there is nothing to worry about - it is just a case of making music.
