Pit Kaufmann is a Vienna-based sound engineer whose musical journey began at the age of four with classical guitar lessons. His passion for music soon led him to study piano and jazz bass at the Conservatory of Luxembourg. Early on, he was fascinated by the creative use of technology to shape sound.

After completing high school in 2016, Pit went on to study Tonmeister at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw), earning his diploma in 2023.He now works both as a freelance Tonmeister and as a media creator and sound engineer at the mdw. In 2025, he co-founded Arts & Tonic AV GmbH, a company dedicated to high-quality audio production.

Since 2024, he has also been a regular tuning partner for Amadeus Acoustics. His work involves close collaboration with artists, technical crews, and venue staff to tailor each system to its acoustic context, ensuring an optimal sound experience for performers and audiences alike.
