Amadeus Acoustics specializes in sound for concert halls, opera houses, and theatres, delivering active acoustics, immersive sound, and voice lift. Engineered for natural, impactful sound, our systems are fully integrated and brand-agnostic — built to adapt to any architecture or audio setup already in place, so a venue's investment never becomes a constraint.
where sound meets art
Our Story
Amadeus Acoustics is built by musicians first. That's not a marketing line — Fabio, Thorsten, and Volker each came to acoustics through music, and that shows in how the company builds. Technology is never the point; what a performer and an audience feel is. This unique combination of technical innovation and artistic insight is what sets Amadeus apart from acoustics vendors who start from the engineering and work backwards. We believe exceptional sound elevates human experience — and we're on a mission to give performers and audiences the conditions to have one
What We Believe
The Amadeus ART system is the result of that belief made technical: a modular, software-based platform for multi-channel audio, built to manage sound in a single space or across many zones with precise, dynamic control. It integrates seamlessly with the audio infrastructure a venue already owns, rather than replacing it. Today, that platform stands behind more than 70 completed installations across Europe and beyond — including landmark venues like Theater an der Wien, Andermatt Concert Hall, and the 007 Elements Immersive Experience.
What We've Built
Amadeus Acoustics was founded in 2018 in Vienna by Fabio Kaiser (CEO), Thorsten Rohde (Business Development Manager), and Volker Werner (CTO) — musicians, acoustic consultants, sound designers, and audio engineers united by a passion for sound and quality. The idea took shape earlier, in 2014, when the founding team ran its first technical tests in Sevilla and Barcelona, Spain; by 2016, that early work had become a proof of concept and Amadeus's first fixed installation. What started as a handful of engineers testing ideas became a company with a mission: to redefine how sound is experienced in performance and cultural spaces. Read more about the team behind Amadeus.
how we work
An Amadeus ART system isn't installed and left behind. Every project follows the same certified process — Design, Tune, Care — carried out by Amadeus Experts trained and certified through our own Academy. That's not a policy for its own sake; it's how a company of musicians, acousticians and sound designers makes sure the sound a venue signed up for is the sound it actually gets, for as long as the system is in use.
where we are
From first projects in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, Amadeus Acoustics has grown into a European presence with global reach: five active demo rooms (Vienna, The Hague, Wrocław, Budapest, Stockholm), distribution partnerships spanning EMEA, APAC, and the Americas, and installations underway in China and the United States.
meet the team
Amadeus is built by musicians, engineers, and acousticians who bring an artistic and technical perspective to every venue we work with, supported by a network of tuning partners and consultants across Europe. Meet the full team.
