HOUSE OF DIGITIZATION
PROGRESSING THE FUTURE FOR LOWER AUSTRIA: AMADEUS ACOUSTICS BRINGS IMMERSIVE AUDIO TO THE HOUSE OF DIGITIZATION
"MAN + MACHINE" BY TAMSCHICK MEDIA+SPACE
The House of Digitization (Haus der Digitalisierung) in Tulln, which opened its doors in December 2022, offers a wide range of digitization services to small and medium-sized businesses in Lower Austria. The state-of-the-art center supports small and medium-sized companies in their digital development, hosts an expansion of the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt, and provides an immersive exhibition space to the public.
Amadeus Acoustics played a crucial role in developing the 4,200 square meter exhibition space into a multi-purpose immersive venue. The Amadeus Core provides multifunctional immersive audio to the center, which frequently demands audiovisual interaction with a 360° LED wall that encompasses the showroom and events area. The electro-acoustic design was carried out with German audio systems specialist Kling & Freitag and Austrian systems integrator Kraftwerk Living Technologies.
THE HOUSE OF DIGITIZATION PROJECT STANDS OUT AS AN ACHIEVEMENT FOR AMADEUS ACOUSTICS FOR BEING A HIGHLY COST-EFFECTIVE, TIME-EFFICIENT, AND VERSATILE IMMERSIVE AUDIO SOLUTION.
Kling & Freitag initially requested to work with Amadeus Acoustics to provide the highest level of immersive audio through the Amadeus Core. Kraftwerk Living Technologies, with whom Amadeus Acoustics has previously collaborated on exhibition spaces, and Amadeus mutually supported and consulted each other in perfecting the system. Twenty-two loudspeakers and 4 subwoofers provide excellent sound quality and versatility for a variety of events, from concerts to curated exhibitions.
The technical collaboration saw its first successful implementation through "Man + Machine", an immersive experience curated by Charlotte Tamschick and designed by her Berlin-based agency Tamschick Media+Space. The Austrian creative offices Bildwerk and Media Apparat played key roles in implementing the exhibition, which features augmented reality stations developed by the digital agency Studio Weholo. Organizers praised Amadeus’s digital plug-in for providing ultimate control over the sound and endless possibilities to reshape the space's acoustics according to the needs of artists, presenters, and new media content creators.
