expert levels & training
Every Amadeus ART Certified system is designed, tuned, and cared for by people who've proven they can do it — not just a process on paper. The Amadeus Expert Levels program is how we train and certify the partners, engineers, and consultants who work on ART systems, from a first orientation to full tuning authority. It's the human side of what "Design. Tune. Care." promises.
Certified by Practice
two tracks, one standard
Active Acoustics and Immersive Sound are trained differently, because they demand different things from the person operating them. Active acoustics always requires tuning by an Amadeus Expert Level Tonmeister — the physics of a room don't forgive guesswork. Immersive systems can be set up directly by the venue's own team, with as much or as little Amadeus support as the project needs.
Acoustics
Level 1 — Familiar with the system
Level 2 — Junior Tuning Partner: can experiment with the system, cannot issue official Amadeus settings
Level 3 — Senior Tuning Partner: can execute tunings, release official Amadeus settings, and train Level 2 partners toward Level 3
Immersive
Level 1 — Familiar with the system
Level 2 — Junior Tuning Partner: can experiment with the system and set up simpler projects independently (e.g. a single zone)
Level 3 — Senior Tuning Partner: can configure and calibrate complex, multi-zone rooms
Level 1 — Basic
Get an overview of the Amadeus system, its modules, and its capabilities. Attendees are introduced to the Amadeus toolset and become capable of basic support. They can use the ART::IP module, though not the deeper acoustics tuning interface.

Target group: Support engineers with partners, and anyone curious about the system.
Method: Hands-on workshop in our Vienna showroom.
Approval: Participation is registered as Level 1 in the Amadeus records.
Level 2 — System Tuning Partner and Immersive Advanced
Sound engineers get a deeper insight into tuning and system setup, including speaker tuning. Participants gain access to Amadeus Autotune and can adapt presets or create experimental acoustic presets — official release still requires Level 3 approval or execution. Participants can build complex systems with the ART::IP module.

For client participants: a liability limitation is signed, and it's made clear that interface access for adaptation does not equal approval for official Amadeus tunings
Immersive
Performer and spatial systems, in detail
Single-zone systems
An instructor may choose not to hand over Autotune access and standard passwords if they feel it isn't the right fit yet — trust is earned during the course, not assumed at enrollment.Target group: Freelance tuning partners, support engineers at business partners, and sound engineers at client venues with an installation.
Method: Assistance on a live tuning project or an individual workshop in a showroom.
Level 3 — Amadeus Tuning Expert
The final step toward becoming a certified Amadeus Tuning Expert. On the Immersive side, this level adds multi-zone systems.
Target group: Level 2 partners.
Method: Real tuning projects — first supporting a Level 3 expert, then leading as Tonmeister under a Level 3 expert's supervision. The exact path is agreed individually, based on the partner's existing capabilities.
Approval: A Level 3 expert personally approves and assigns Level 3 status.
System Design Certification
A separate track from the tuning levels — system design has no levels, only an online certification backed by our design guidelines. Every design still requires approval by a certified Tonmeister before it's built.
Goal: Know how to design both an immersive and an active acoustics system.
